A Tailor-Made Search

We carefully manage the full recruitment, screening, and interviewing process to maximize engagement at pivotal points; at the same time, we relax the intensity of the overall process so it feels turn-key to you. A search generally runs 70 to 90 days, but shorter timeframes can be accommodated for more pressing needs.

Here’s an insider tip: start early! Competition for school leadership talent can be intense, so the earlier you engage the ISS Administrative Search Team, the faster we can reach out to highly-sought-after candidates and showcase your school.

  • When we launch a search, candidate outreach begins immediately for you. You’ll benefit from advertisements, canvassing, announcements and direct candidate outreach, leveraging our global connections and reach.
  • The smooth, focused process means excellent engagement for your stakeholders, but less burden for you to manage. We conduct screening and initial interviews. Deliberations and selection of semi-finalists are done on a rolling basis as applications are received.
  • We support you through the selection of finalists, including guidance on the campus visits and contract negotiation process. Our goal is to help you identify the right fit so you can successfully announce your new hire.

Ongoing Support

To best help your school during the critical onboarding period, we also offer additional services, including:
  • Transition management such as development of a mentoring program for the new leader
  • Criteria-setting for performance evaluation
  • Ongoing leadership coaching and consulting, and other critical “bridge” activities
  • Development, advancement, endowment, and fundraising
