What drew you to pursue the world of education? And what drew you into international education specifically?

I became an educator because of my passion for history. Teaching gave me the opportunity to inspire young people to discover the richness and relevance of the past. I was drawn to international education by a sense of wanderlust and a deep interest in diverse cultures, perspectives, and experiences.

Working across different countries has not only expanded my professional horizons but also enriched my personal worldview, reinforcing my commitment to an education that transcends borders and prepares students for a truly global future.

Please tell us about your education philosophy and your leadership style. What can the LIS community expect?

Leadership is an organic and context-driven process, grounded in the needs and aspirations of each school community. My approach is centered on building inclusive, collaborative environments where all stakeholders—students, staff, and parents—feel heard and valued. I mentor educators as visionary partners, promoting cognitive coaching and distributed leadership to foster both agency and innovation.

My educational philosophy emphasizes reflection, independence, and wellness-focused support systems. Schools under my leadership strive to become self-transforming communities—adaptive, resilient, and rooted in shared purpose. My new school can expect visionary yet practical leadership, strategic growth, and a deep commitment to community engagement, student achievement, and holistic development.

Congratulations on your upcoming role at Legacy International School Bangalore! What are you excited about in this new role?

I am humbled to be invited to join Legacy School—an institution I have known for years and one of the most respected progressive schools in India. Its commitment to student-centered learning, innovation, and a vibrant community culture aligns closely with my own values and educational philosophy. Legacy’s emphasis on inquiry, holistic development, and well-being reflects the kind of environment I strive to foster.

I look forward to working alongside a dedicated and passionate team to further enrich the school’s academic experiences while nurturing creativity, inclusion, and personal growth. My hope is to build on Legacy’s strong foundation to shape a future-ready learning environment—where students feel empowered to take ownership of their learning and grow into confident, compassionate individuals.

I aim to support teachers through collaborative leadership and mentoring, and to engage parents and the wider community as true partners in this journey. I am committed to leading with integrity, vision, and care.

What was your experience with ISS Leadership Search like?

My experience interviewing with ISS was both personable and meaningful. The exchange felt honest and informative throughout, allowing for a genuine dialogue about values, leadership, and the future of education. It was refreshing to engage in a conversation rooted in mutual respect and authenticity—one that affirmed my belief in the importance of human connection and transparency in the recruitment process.

What is an interesting fact or story about you that you would like to share?

In addition to my passion for history, I have a deep love for reading, music, and collecting antiques. These interests enrich my understanding of culture and heritage, which I often bring into my educational practice. Teaching is truly in my blood—both my daughters are educators in the UK, continuing a family tradition of inspiring and guiding young minds. Education, for me, is not just a profession but a lifelong calling rooted in curiosity, connection, and a commitment to growth.

Many thanks to Frank Anthony Braccia for sharing his insights, experiences, and vision for education. We wish him and the vibrant community at the Legacy International School Bangalore the best in this new chapter ahead!
