Learning Skills International School

Established by Sophia Duker in 1986 as a preschool and child development center, Learning Skills International School (LSIS) has been a fixture of the education landscape in Accra, Ghana. Originally known as Learning Skills Center, the school’s vision was to give children in Accra a firm and broad-based education, helping them acquire basic skills needed to build their future education. Today, Learning Skills International School has evolved into an IB World School, offering the Primary Years Program (PYP) and the beginning stages of the MYP. LSIS is proudly Ghanaian, serving over 350 learners on two different campuses. The school boasts a very conducive environment for learners from Creche to Grade 8, with small class sizes and an average student-teacher ratio of 15:1.

Along with a wide range of extra-curricular activities, specialist teachers for Twi, Ga, Mandarin, French, Music, Art, PE, and Robotics contribute to LSIS’s goal of producing well-rounded scholars and life-long learners. LSIS students are equipped to be global citizens who make a positive difference in their communities, our country Ghana, and the world.
