Arnie Bieber
Arnie has over 30 years’ experience as an international educator and thought leader, writing and speaking extensively worldwide about a wide range of educational issues. For over ten years, Arnie’s Blog has addressed current and future trends in education. Most recently, Arnie completed a record 13-year tenure as Director of the International School of Prague. Previously Arnie served as Director of the American International School of Bucharest, as well as having broad experience teaching and leading schools in the Europe, South America and the States. Arnie served twice as Chair of ECIS Board of Trustees (European Council of International Schools and Educational Alliance for International Education), as well as serving as Board Chair of CEESA (Central and Eastern European Schools Assocation). Arnie holds a Doctor of Education from Columbia University, as well as two master’s degrees in teaching and educational leadership. During his many years as a leader of top international schools, Arnie successfully recruited superb educational leaders from around the world. He will continue to do this working with the ISS global recruitment team. Arnie is based in the New York City area, and in his spare time is an amateur classical guitarist and loves movies and travel.
