Laura Cowan, MS Counselor

Teaching Online Since February 2020

Laura Cowan is a TCK and an experienced international educator and counselor who has worked predominantly in Asia for the past 25 years. She currently works at HKIS as a MS Counselor and has a daughter in grade 2. Her areas of expertise lay in trauma/crisis support, and teen & family counseling. HKIS has just finished up their 9th week of home learning and she is happy to share lessons learned throughout this journey.

Jason Holly, HS Counselor

Teaching Online Since February 2020

Jason has been counseling internationally for 9 years, prior to which he worked in US university admissions and financial aid. Although he has taken a few online courses himself over the years, the last two months has been his first experience with full-time online learning.

Tim Woo, Upper School Wellbeing Counsellor

Teaching Online Since February 2020

Timothy Woo is Chinese born Canadian, born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. In Canada, Timothy has had experiences as a family service child protection worker and as the adolescent social worker in a rehabilitation hospital for children with special needs. In Hong Kong, Timothy has had experiences as a programme coordinator with an NGO geared towards youth drug education and prevention, and most recently, as a guidance counsellor at another private independent school.
