Managing the health risks to our students and employees is of course of paramount importance.  At the same time, one cannot ignore the significant civil and criminal liability that our actions and/or inaction’s may engender in the school reopening process.  This webinar helped identify some of the significant liability factors from a legal perspective and present risk reduction strategies.

Meet the Presenters

Anthony J. Maimone

Anthony served as ISS’ Chief Compliance Officer from March 2009 through April 2017 and has remained engaged as a part-time consultant for special projects. Prior to Anthony’s affiliation with ISS, he also maintained positions as the Corporate Compliance Officer for Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc., a large home-building company from 2002-2009, and UBS/PaineWebber, a financial services firm from 1996-2002.

Anthony earned his B.A. at Rutgers University and attained a Master in Divinity at New Brunswick Theological Seminary, Summa Cum Laude in 2015.

Anthony is currently utilizing his risk management skills and theological degree as the principal chaplain and minister at The Evergreens, a full-service retirement-life community in Moorestown, NJ.

Julie R. Tattoni

For more than 25 years, Ms. Tattoni has counseled businesses, municipalities, developers and private schools regarding compliance with complex state regulations, insurance matters, employment practices liability and governmental relations. Her regulatory practice concentrates on insurance companies, regulated industries, developers and redevelopers.

She has represented insurers in matters before the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance and served as counsel to municipal joint insurance funds on matters of liability and workers compensation claims, insurance coverage determinations, employment practices and a variety of state laws including OPRA, Local Public Contracts Law and the Pay-to-Play Laws.

Ms. Tattoni represents businesses seeking to expand as well as redevelopers regarding tax incentives and tax credits that promote economic growth and development. She regularly presents seminars on topics such as: governmental redevelopment incentives, employer best practices and anti-harassment training, avoiding Law Against Discrimination claims and anti-bullying laws.

Ms Tattoni is a graduate of George Washington University School of Law, J.D., with honors (1986) and Catholic University of America, B.A., cum laude (1983).

Stephen Boush

Stephen Boush has worked in the International Employee Benefits and Insurance arena for over 15 years with Global Benefits Group / TieCare.
In his role as Regional Manager for TieCare Insurance, a leading provider of insurance benefits for international schools, he has had the opportunity to work with schools in the development of risk management strategies and how to best use Insurance to mitigate and offset all manner of risk and potential liability. This involves working with stakeholders to determine what risks are prevalent and how to manage such risks through policy, strategy or by shifting liability to an insurance company.

Stephen has also worked as a CFO of an international school in Asia so has developed a unique understanding which includes being able to address such issues as they pertain to the viewpoint of each party.

Stephen is a licensed insurance broker, securities representative, investment advisor, financial planner and an Enrolled Agent with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.
