The ISS application/reactivation process requires specific details regarding work history and reference as well as the writing of two narrative essays.  Before proceeding to complete the on-line application/reactivation forms:

  1. Do You Qualify for Overseas Employment?  Please print and review. 
  2. Guidelines for the Completion of On-Line Forms:  Please print and read.
  3. Collect work history and reference data including dates of employment and referees' business and home contact information for each position listed.

Establishing a Professional File as an Administrator:  New candidates, please print and read.

Establishing a Professional File as a Teacher:   New candidates, please print and read.

Reactivating your ISS File:   Please print and read.

Guidelines for Writing Reference Letters   Please print and provide to your supervisors (those writing letters on your behalf.)

 

Within two weeks of application submission:  
(Documents may also be sent prior to application submission.)

  1. Official transcript confirming only the highest degree earned (Sent via mail directly from college/university in a sealed envelope.)

  2. Copies of educational credentials (Submit copies of current certificates via email/fax/mail.)

  3. Signed Supervisory references covering last seven years of employment including: 

  • Supervisor's business phone/home phone/email address/signature

  • Supervisor's position title at time of employment.

  • Place of employment

  • Dates of employment

  • Your position title at time of employment.

  • Supervisor's Signature.

  1. Personal resume if you are an administrative candidate

Confidential supervisory references are required and must be submitted directly to ISS by the applicant's referees on school letterhead.  If open (non-confidential) letters of recommendation are in your possession, please submit copies directly to ISS.  Submitting an up-to-date confidential university placement file that includes references is also acceptable.
